| My primary photographic motivation is
to share my vision of the beauty that I see in the world. I aspire
to transfer my passion for nature onto film by searching out subjects and
scenes that stir emotion, curiosity and adventure. My ambition is
for you to experience the photograph, not just to view it; from the
sense of timelessness and solitude of waterfalls that cut landscapes to the
adrenaline rush of being surrounded by Caribbean Reef Sharks. My passion for travel is conveniently intertwined with my passion for photography. When choosing my travel destinations, I look for remote areas with unique flora and fauna and exotic cultural experiences. I have taken my 35 mm camera to such places as Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands, Midway Atoll, Kauai, Roatan, Panama, Belize, and the Peruvian Amazon. Sometimes, it is not necessary to take the camera over the borders of the state line to find incredible photo opportunities. Taking photographs of local scenery, from expansive landscapes to minute sand grains can be just as rewarding as capturing a poison dart frog on film. Kevin Blasi has been a source of incredible inspiration and knowledge. Kevin is an incredibly talented artist. Make sure you visit Kevin's site. Every summer for the past several years, my friend Julie and I have travelled to many beautiful and exotic destinations. She and I share the hope that you "will visit, preserve, and protect this amazing world around us." Visit her website to view her images. |
The tour company that I organized my Panama trip through was Futura Travel and they can be found at www.extremepanama.com. Luigi, you were a phenomenal guide, thank you! Oceanic Society is a top notch organization for educational trips and you can even volunteer to do scientific research! The images from the Bahamas and Midway Atoll were from the trips I have experienced through Oceanic Society. They can be found at www.oceanic-society.org |
